Our personalized, custom engraved wood signs will gracefully weather a lifetimeTM with simple finish maintenance! Because cedar is virtually pitch and resin free, the wood easily accepts a range of finishes, especially deep-penetrating, fine alkyd/oil wood preservative.
This is nothing like spar varnish or polyurethane – it is a way, way better solution to durability than these old-fashioned approaches. Our green finish system releases zero VOC and formulated to enhance and enrich the natural durability and appearance of western red cedar – naturally. Cedar has richly textured grain with colours ranging from mellow ambers, reddish cinnamons and rich sienna browns. Its warm coloring is complimented by a uniform, fine-grained texture with a satin luster.
Our formula also contains unique properties that prevent water damage and graying for a minimum of three years providing a rich finish, enhancing cedar’s natural beauty thanks to its unique sun-blocking, UV protection. This formula also contains antimicrobials that resist the growth of mildew and algae. The easiest way to maintain your rustic welcome signs and engraved camp, ranch and RV wood signs is to apply a refresher coat of either Olympic® “Maximum” or PPG Paint’s Ultra® every summer. Both are readily available at Lowes, Menards or Home Depot.
